Description
A 19th-century Dutch water jug in very good overall condition. Not a reproduction; an authentic antique offered individually.
The piece displays classic 19th-century transfer-printing: designs hand-etched on copper plates and applied to the body, producing crisp lines and visible engraving traces that are difficult to replicate with modern digital methods. Typical of the period, the transfer is underglaze and was fired at high temperature on a durable body.
