Description

Pair of French vintage Breton folk dolls, a male and a female, dressed in traditional regional costume. The female wears a distinctive lace headdress, a cross necklace and a red-and-gold long skirt; the male wears a black traditional outfit with a hat. Costume details are finely rendered. The front of the figures retains a Brittany regional marking and crest. The original transparent display box bears the word Folk and the two-figure composition offers greater scene presence than single dolls.
