Description
Printed in Paris in 1769, this original 18th-century French book is by Jean-Baptiste Massillon, a member of the French Academy. The complete title page retains publisher and Paris address details. The text is set in typical 18th-century French type on paper showing natural age.
Period full leather binding with raised bands and hand-applied gilt tooling. The leather displays natural tonal variation developed over more than two centuries. Small octavo, compact and suitable for collectors, study, display or photography.
