Description

A Paris edition in French of Silvio Pellico’s best-known work, an autobiographical account of his arrest and imprisonment by the 19th-century Italian writer and patriot. Half-leather fine binding with marbled boards; the leather spine retains a red-brown title label and gilt decoration. The cover and leather have developed an attractive natural aged color after years of use.
