Description

This French-language illustrated edition of History of the French Revolution by Adolphe Thiers features a caramel-brown leather spine with gilt lettering and ornament, mottled textured boards and marbled endpapers. Interiors are double-column and include black-and-white historical illustrations, among them the Tennis Court Oath scene.

A handwritten French presentation on the frontispiece is dated 1876, so the book existed by that date; no explicit publication year is marked. This listing is for Volume I; Volume II is offered separately.
